Product introduction
Mullite is a kind of high-quality refractory material, which is rare. Mullite is a mineral formed by aluminosilicate at high temperature. Mullite will be formed when aluminosilicate is artificially heated. The natural mullite crystal is slender needle and radial cluster. Mullite ore is used to produce high temperature refractories. It is widely used as thermal barrier coating in C / C composites. Mullite is a binary solid solution stable under atmospheric pressure in ai2o3-sio2 system. There are very few natural mullites with chemical formula of ai2o3-sio2, which are usually synthesized by sintering method or electrofusion method.
