Continuous casting roller for Continuous Casting Machine Parts
The rolls/rollers are of good heat, corrosion, wear-resistant properties, working at high temperature environment on average: 800 to 1200°C, which are used in the steel mills, like CAL (continuous annealing line), CGL (continuous galvanizing line)
It is usually made of seamless steel pipe, or it is made of aluminum alloy 6061t5304l / 316L stainless steel, 2205 duplex stainless steel, steel castings and solid forged alloy steel core according to different process needs.
The production of roller mainly consists of roller body initial turning, initial static balance calibration, shaft head interference assembly and welding, fine turning and fine dynamic balance calibration. If the form and position tolerances such as roundness, cylindricity and straightness are required to be less than 0.2mm, they need to be ground by cylindrical grinder or roll grinder after finishing. If surface hardness is required, heat treatment process shall be added.
After the roller is formed, due to the needs of rust prevention, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and support, it also needs surface treatment or coating, such as painting, galvanizing, Teflon spraying, rubber coating, chromium plating, ceramic spraying and oxidation.
According to the size, there are large rollers for paper machinery (the length can reach more than 10m and the diameter is more than 1500mm), and small flat idlers for belt conveying on automatic assembly line (generally within 1m and the diameter is also within 159mm)
