The slag stopping facility for converter independently developed by this Company, which is similar to the design structure of ladle siting nozzle flow control system, is installed at the tapping hole of converter and realizes the slag stopping in molten steel tapping by the dislocation of the molten steel flow space between the sliding bricks and the fixed bricks of sliding plate through a hydraulic driving system. The product has a good slag stopping effect and can satisfy the requirement of less or no slag in converter steelmaking, with the slag stopping rate as high as 95%.
